It Was An Insurance Policy

The Airbnb that God had directed me to stay at during this time was one that would only welcome stays for 31 days or more. That is actually quite common in Chicago, especially the downtown area. It is nice to see places open and embracing longer stays, but there is a little downside to that as well.

When booking a place for any longer than 30 days on Airbnb, they will break the payments of the reservation up into 2 or more different payments. The biggest payment is first, before the reservation begins, and the second and other payments are scattered into the stay, more towards the end.

While I was so very thankful and relieved to have a warm place of refuge and a place to park our belongings, there was this little dark cloud over my head of the one payment that was later on into the reservation.

That payment was coming very close, and all that God had sent before had been used up through the other expenses and seeds of giving that God told me to plant. I had been in prayer and exercising my faith in the way that the Holy Spirit had taught me during our journey, and there were no signs of relief to cover that payment.

Just the thought of not having that second payment in time was terrifying, because something so horrible as that would have kicked us to the curb with all of our things. But God had given me an “insurance policy” long ago, before He ever asked me to follow Him on this faith journey.

It all started with Philippians 4, that He would lavishly supply all our needs out of the riches of His glory. As I walked with Jesus through deep trust and intimacy, He gave me elaborate details of the insurance policy that He had made for me.

He had promised more intricate details to our situation, like a Husband giving vows to His bride. He promised that we would not be homeless or on the streets. Not only that, but he promised to provide wherever He would guide us to stay, richly and entirely.

Yesterday, I was feeling the pressure of the urgency to cover the last room payment, and my parking fees once again. I remembered the lesson that the Lord had taught me from the “Filled the Boat” book, and I was thinking about the process that He showed me to go through.

I thought it would be very helpful if I made an immersive faith audio session for myself, and I needed something that was much longer, so that I could allow my faith to spread out and flow with the Holy Spirit, with child-like vulnerability, trust, and imagination.

So I made myself this audio session that was directly inspired from the lessons that Jesus taught me for fishing in prayer, from the Filled the Boat book that I just wrapped up writing. Also on a side note, that book is only offered as a PDF and E-Book at this time. Because of the personal travels that God has been taking us through, I have agreed with God to start small. But there is much more planned for the future.

After I made the audio session, I shut off all distractions and entered into the presence of God with faith like a little child playing pretend, and trusting that anything could be with God to help.

It was beautiful and there were tears of gratitude streaming down my face as I allowed my heart to be immersed with faith in God to keep His insurance policy to me. After the experience, I went to sleep and as I was sleeping, the Lord spoke to me.

He showed me to put the audio session together with a short message of instruction and to place it into my store, as an optional tool to accompany my Filled the Boat book.

Then this morning, I woke up to the very best news! God showed up with an overnight miracle, and He had sent what I needed to pay the last payment on this month’s Airbnb room. It was the sweetest relief!

Even though it is only for a month (at this time) I felt like I could finally lay down my defenses and enjoy the gift from God to have a place of refuge and comfort. It was only hours after going through the faith audio session that the Lord had led me to make, that I saw the results pouring out, like sweet grape juice dripping off of the vine.

I am so thankful for God to give us promises that are like insurance policies. The more we open our heart to trust that God is ever-present with us and giving us promises for our unique situations, the more intricate details will be revealed, with even deeper promises, like details in an insurance policy.

God will open up the blueprints of what we can expect, like spreading out insurance documents for us to see the fine print, and all that will be covered from His ever-present support to always protect us in any circumstance.

The audio session that I made to help myself see this miracle is now available as an optional tool to go with the book. It takes both, the information and the activation. Nothing happens, if we don’t engage. It is like trying to use a toaster and not plugging it in. Our hearts must open, trust, move, and connect. But there must be the foundation first, as God lays out the promise of insurance.

One does not work without the other. Just as faith is lifeless without action, and without knowing God’s promises, we would have no direction. We need both, the movement of child-like trust and faith, and the information to understand how God has covered our lives personally.

So I share this faith immersive tool with whoever is ready to take a leap of faith, and go back to the joys of living in child-like faith again. I pray that your time will be welcomed with fresh bouquets of miracles blooming, and that you will be bubbling up with the hope to believe that God can do anything.

I love you!
