From time to time, I offer a special treat that is not in my main store. It is the elusive ‘Treasure Bite”….which is a very personal, prophetic promise with a surprise symbol message, all in one. 

Just like shimmering snowflakes, the Treasure Bites can come in all sorts of ways. One of my favorites is when God revealed a puffin bird as a symbolic promise of being pushed into a destined calling. 

There is a tradition in Iceland where the residents will gather together to throw baby puffins off a high ocean cliff. It sounds dramatic, but the residents are actually helping the baby birds find their way back to their home in the water. 

The baby puffins are born on land, in a cleft or burrow on the side of a cliff. Yet the puffins are created for the vast, blue sea. The sea is their spectacular destiny. However, because of the city lights, many puffins get lost on land and need help to find their way to their destined place. 

Being thrown or pushed into a magnificent ocean sounds terrifying, but the puffins naturally soar from the fall and find themselves in the beautiful place where they were meant to be all along…..flourishing. 

Similarly, God will sometimes push us into the very things we are afraid to do, in order to cause us to enter our true designed calling. Many of us are stranded on land, and the Lord is about to push us into the greatness that He has planned. 

Facing those fears will turn out to be the greatest gift. Like a puffin who is an expert in the sea, you’ll find that you are better at this than anything….and you’ll love it more than you’ve ever dreamed. 

Don’t be afraid of the cliffs that you must cross through, but rather get excited because you are coming into alignment with the immense blessings that God has for you! The cliff is a gift! 

The atmosphere is filled with surprises, coming in rare and unique ways, like the intricate patterns of a snowflake. Back for a very limited moment, the Treasure Bites are available today.
