When I was Dying, the Bread from Heaven Came

It’s easy to share the victories and mountaintop times, but it is very humbling to share the low times and hardships that we face, when walking by faith. It’s uncomfortable to expose the needy times, but by not sharing the ins and outs of the low valleys, I am not giving all that I can with an open heart. Because we need to know how to get through both.

I realized that I am doing a great disservice to those who read our stories, because sharing only the victories makes it all sound so easy. When in reality, there are times when we must crawl to get through the fierce winds that blow like tornadoes.

Truly, living by faith is the hardest thing I have ever known and there were many times we almost didn’t survive another moment.

What I am going to share with you is not easy for me. It is the situation that I am in, and it has been one of the most painful times of my life.

My faith has been pressed like a pancake on the heat with intense pressure and there were so many other troubling situations taking place.

Before I started the experience that I am about to share, I was given a promise of “Toast” from the Lord. He prepared me that it would be a time of heat and pressing, like making a pancake on the griddle.

Then the Lord reminded me of 1 Kings 19, when Elijah was being fed bread by angels, when Jezebel was trying to take his life.

That is how it all began. The enemy and those who selected to listen to enemy voices lashed a major storm against us, and suddenly I found some who were very close trying to murder us from this enemy attack.

We had left the spectacular downtown apartment Airbnb and it was like the buildings were shaking. There was an unexpected attack from a housing charge that cut me off from being able to receive it easily.

By that time, we already were in the negative, but the Lord had opened up an upside-down way to cover us for 6 nights in a hotel.

After the 6th night, I realized that the enemy and those who had listened to his whispers were trying to kill us. We spent 4 hours in a parking lot, waiting for the Lord to deliver His promise.

We were hungry, and my lips were burning from being dehydrated. I couldn’t even pay for laundry or food.

But like an angel coming to bring bread to comfort our suffering, a delivery of $300 came to cover the hotel room, the Chicago style deposit and a meal for us to eat.

We were so thankful for the refuge and comfort. We were both in tears of relief. That person was like an angel from God that was sent to save us from the attack of murder on our life.

I desperately didn’t want to check out the next following morning, but the bread from God was gone, and I had nothing. So we packed back up in the car, and we didn’t even eat all that day.

To add to the pressure, I didn’t have gas in my car, and my car was hanging by a thread from needed repairs. I was so overwhelmed, because this was a storm that I didn’t see coming and the heartbroken time of the attempted murder in our life.

My comfort in my suffering was the Lord promised me something wonderful for having to endure this enemy attack. The promise on the other side cannot compare to the pain of that moment of such betrayal and bare survival.

That day was so hard. My daughter was also in great pain, and emotionally afflicted. In the midst of her suffering, she took a walk very far and got lost.

Her phone was in airplane mode, and we are not familiar with the town we are in. So we had no idea where anything was. Long story short, I ended up having to call the police to help find her.

Thank the Lord, she was found, and they took her to the ER to be looked at. We were there so long, and it wasn’t until after midnight that we left the hospital.

During the time that she was missing, the Lord sent another person to send us another $300, and if that did not happen, we would have never had a way to get back to the hotel from the hospital, or have a meal after the horrific ordeal.

After paying for the hotel, the deposit, the lyft, and the meal, I was already out of “bread” for the next day.

So that leaves us to this day. It is only two hours until check out and we are watching for the Lord’s next angel to bring us bread from this very difficult attack.

God has been so perfect with His timing during this time, even when it looked like we wouldn’t survive.

There are times when major storms come against our walk of faith, and there are very important things that must be done in order to survive the unsurvivable.

I’ve been deeply convicted in my heart for not sharing more of the critical times, when we are on a Heaven sent life support, because people need to know how to get through all that comes against one of true faith.

During our many years of seeing highs and lows, like a roller coaster, there are tools that God has given me along the way that someone else will need to survive their own journey.

I owe my life to the Lord for saving us, and I owe it to those that He is leading on narrow paths to also share the tools and treasures that I have gathered from something that can only be learned hands on.

I welcome you to join the faith coaching, and I will walk with you to share all that I have learned, so that you can thrive and flourish in times that most people never would.

When I was dying and helpless, He sent the bread from Heaven to save the day.

I love you,

You’ll never know just how much you mean to me.

God does. ♡

Hugs,
