A love letter from Jesus
Shadows shift, as you move with grace and elegance through the overgrown fields, as you restlessly wait to gather a much longed for harvest. Your head is bowed, and your soul is turned down low. The hope in the affliction is that you trust in God’s word above what it looks like now.
Your body moves to the music of the words that were spoken so long ago. It has been so endlessly long, the words are barely audible, and yet still…you choose to hold on.
Seeing the shadows of the wilting flower, that you had been waiting for God to revive, you slowly twirl and sway with a flicker of hope still in your eyes. Warm tears roll down your cheeks, as you come and bow at His feet.
You are feeble and weak from the long-suffering of faith, and every ounce of strength has nearly faded away. Troubled and bowed down greatly, you push away all doubting at the desperation of the promise being seen. Even in the midst of the pain, you dance and twirl to believe.
God’s love is the beat of your heart, it is the air that you breathe. There is nowhere else to go, but near the One that you love more than any other thing.
In your agony of being pressed by faith, you pour yourself out at His feet and embrace the patient posture of the wait. From out of the deafening silence, Jesus interrupts so gently to say,
“Lean your head upon My heart, the pain that you feel will not last much longer. Just as the natural eye delays sight by a second, likewise the words of My Spirit have already happened.
I gave you My word to fulfill it, not to leave you wanting in grief. In the spirit it has already been done, even if what you see now looks upside down.
All of a sudden, I will flip it around to cause the shadow of night to transform into a rapid daybreak. When you see nothing being done and feel so forgotten, like being lost in the darkness all around—you are in My shadow, and the fulfillment is much closer than you think or know.
As heat causes the egg to hatch, so is My glory that enters your spiritual womb. What was placed within you will come out, and I will fulfill My words. My promise was a gift for you to receive even now, so let your heart be made glad that it is still a sure thing.
Dear heart, do not worry about a moment. You have a good inheritance, I am your portion. Let your heart be glad, as you rest in hope. Those who hope in Me will not be disappointed or put to shame at all.
Coming through the sorrow of the wait, is the double reward of your faith. The night has been gruesomely long, and you have been hurting so much, but you didn’t turn away. You kept your eyes upon Me and drew close, even in your agony.
I’ve never quit loving you and I never will. Expect to see even more than you have before, even still. You have learned to dance through the long-suffering of waiting, now get ready to leap in the shining light of My words fulfilling.
Beloved, I am coming up swiftly behind you to bring you the outcome that you hope for the most. It will come as a surprise, even though you have been watching tirelessly for it to arrive. It will happen so fast, that it will be startling. In the blink of an eye, I will bring you into a time that is far too blissful to describe”.
