The Beauty of Uneaten Acorns

 

 

When I was little, I had a little game that I played as a way to find the beauty in my forgetfulness. There was a painting that I had on my wall and sometimes when I received money, like $10 in a birthday card, I would hide the money from myself behind the painting so that I could find a treasure later. 

 

It didn’t take much time before I had forgotten about the hidden money behind the painting. One time it was many months later when I was rearranging my room that I moved the painting and found my “hidden” treasure of $10. 

 

It was the best moment to find that secret treasure that I had hidden from myself. I have always been a treasure hunter and I think that is why I love doing the personal love letters so much, because I love to see what “hidden treasure” of a symbol that God will use in each one. It’s so much fun to learn about how God sees each symbol and how He weaves a prophetic promise into each one. 

 

Last night God was reminding me of a personal prophetic love letter that He gave me for someone a long time ago. I had totally forgotten about it! The love letter was titled, “the beauty of uneaten acorns”. 

 

Through the prophetic love letter, the Lord talked about how squirrels will shake an acorn and know which to eat right away and which to save. The squirrels will often forget where they hid the acorns and the acorns will grow into magnificent trees. 

 

Last night, the Lord was showing me that this is a time of Him revealing the “hidden acorns” that have been forgotten about and stashed away. There is hidden wealth and secret treasures hidden away for you in this time, even when it looks like there might be nothing around. 

 

Some things that didn’t work out in the past have grown into spectacular trees to bless you now. There are hidden treasures all around for you, just waiting to be found!
