Beauty in the Darkness

Over the summer, I have been collecting miracle memories to share. It has been a time of intense contrast. I was led into times of deep darkness, in order to see the glory of God’s ever-present rescues shimmering like sapphire blue bio-luminescent water.
The first miracle encounter was an experience that I called the “three wishes” and that one I am saving to share for another time for a very important reason to be revealed…
Right now I am going to open up an experience of beauty in the darkness. We’ve spent the summer months in the suburbs of Illinois, in a time that the Lord compared to as camping…or more like ‘glamping’. We’ve stayed in beautiful hotels and we have moved around month to month.
Our current stay is nearing the end, and before I share the next faith story that is coming out any moment, I need to start unloading some of the beauty of what God has been doing for us in the darkness before I lose sight of it all.
The darkness in the situation refers to times of facing scary moments, and then seeing the visible emergence of God’s promises as a rescue from what we were facing.
The moment that I am sharing today is a time that I called, ‘the double rescue’. Before I entered the double rescue experience, the Lord had said to me, “When you are low on money, I am with you”.
He also made specific promises of exact dollar amounts that He would send, and even where they would come from. Lastly, He promised that this was a time of entering the NEW that He promised.
The new promise was about a special intimate moment that I had, where He promised that we would not face the same painful situations of the past. During the ‘double rescue’, we were staying in an extremely beautiful hotel that was nestled rich in a nature filled area.
I had paid for 2 weeks to stay there and as those two weeks began to come to an end, my faith was in a new test for the amount that God promised to send. That promise was like a baby, and it was up to me to care for that baby by staying elevated in thoughts of faith, and not worry.
For a week straight, I exercised my faith by immersing myself in gratitude for the rescue amount that God promised to send, as though it already happened. The faith exercises were pure concentration of unwavering belief.
During the faith exercises, I would lock myself alone in a room, because my facial expressions would be so embarrassing and extreme. I would be weeping with overflowing thanksgiving, as I aligned my entire being with the promised results. To an outsider, I probably looked like I was out of my mind haha.
Towards the end of our room deadline, things started to look very scary. I had run out of money to get each day’s food, and yet the Lord would cause pennies from Heaven to show up with just enough for each meal and need.
I was being stretched so thin, that it started to look like God wasn’t coming. It was the day of check out and I was packing the car to go….with no where to go. I desperately wanted to stay and I felt in my heart that we were meant to stay. So I was feeling the contrast of things looking confusing.
During that time, I kept watching and hoping, but nothing seemed to be happening. I was finally packing the last couple things in the room before we left for the car, and I gave one last deep heartfelt prayer to God.
In my prayer, I fell to my knees with a very intense depth. I felt like Hannah sobbing at the altar, with a trembling expression of moving lips and tears rolling down my cheeks.
It was a quiet moment of repentance for a past full of negative thinking and grumbling, and my vow to the Lord of love and a renewed commitment to trust and believe.
And now, time was up, it was time to check out. Finally, I gave up and we left the room. It seemed the window of opportunity had come and gone, and nothing had come through. I had been hoping to extend in the same place longer, and any hope of doing that had faded away.
We loaded up into the car, and the moment I sat down in the driver’s seat and closed the door, I got a notification that I had received $10,000! Jesus answered my prayers, and He kept His vows. He even accepted my vows to Him too.
With a very happy and light heart, I went back into the hotel and paid for two more weeks (to start), allowing plenty of wiggle room for whatever was next on God’s plans for this journey.
Those two weeks were filled with turbulence with something very unexpected. During one night, the Lord had taken me into an immersive vision. He had said to me that He allowed me to suffer hardship, so that He could show His glory for us financially.
Then in the vision, I was lifted up above the land and the mountains of troubles that were facing and I was suspended by an invisible band connected to Heaven. When I came out of that encounter, I was on cloud 9 with awe.
But after the promise was given, I had to face the contrast of darkness in my life by facing big fears. One regular day, I had gone to the store to get a couple of necessities for the room, and the car would barely drive.
Without delay, I went to a mechanic and I found out that the repairs were more than the car was even worth. With deep breaths and even deeper prayers, I was given the guidance to buy another car out of the money that God had released for us on the journey.
Everything started to move very fast, as I located a car to purchase, and set up the insurance and everything. The car rescue was a huge relief and God had made sure that we had what we needed to be saved from being stranded in a state that was not our own.
Suddenly, it was like what I had was deflated and there was no more money for our housing and other bill needs. It was all so bitter sweet. Going completely empty feels scary, and yet when you know that your ever-present Source travels with you, there is security.
I barely had time to recover from what I went through before the ten thousand rescue promise came. Facing fears is very traumatizing, but then seeing the emergence of Love from God’s promise is deeply healing.
The fears are proved to be lies, but having to walk through them can be very terrifying. That is why it is important to process those dark, fearful emotions and let them go, so that our faith can be new and open to receive more.
During the two week reservation after we got the new (used) car, the Lord promised me another 10,000 to cover our next hotels to come. Because the last minute rescue was so intensely scary to go through, this time I prayed that God would come early.
The Lord answered my prayers and He showed up early with a sudden fulfillment of the next $10,000. The promised ten thousand that was fulfilled was like getting covered in a cozy pink blanket that comfortably covered our next stops on the journey, until it was gone. We never need to be afraid of running out of support. When we go low, or so it seems, God is with us to bring the beauty of His refill into the scene.
There were certain things that the Lord showed me to do in order to see this Double Rescue promise come true. When God gives a promise, they are like babies that we must nurture and protect with soothing faith thoughts.
The most important thing was not thinking any thoughts of fear, paranoia or worry. I had to stay completely alert to my thoughts and emotions at all times, and keep myself in elevated emotions and thoughts of hope, faith, joy, and gratitude.
When we think worries, or paranoid thoughts then we are killing the promises and prayer fulfillment from God. Someone who has worry filled prayers cannot really expect to see a fulfillment.
Worries need to be squashed like a bug. There is always a choice. We can think thoughts of fear, or paranoia, we can think thoughts of faith but we cannot think both at the same time.
A paranoid thought is an enemy to faith and it is putting faith in evil. Those kinds of thoughts will destroy the fulfillment of a promise and will completely cancel out the outcome of a prayer.
Our emotions are always attached to thoughts. If I have a fearful emotion, there is likely to be fearful thoughts to follow. Emotions are a compass to see where you are and how you need to align yourself.
The moment that I notice that I am feeling a negative emotion, such as fear, then I must immediately find the fear (like catching an insect) and put it to death by confronting that fear with the truth in God’s promise.
It’s not a matter of avoidance, but it is a battle ground to keep peace and joy in my space. During this experience of the double rescue, I found a strategy that helped me to stay in the elevated emotions of faith, and that was through gratitude.
Whenever I would find a negative emotion of fear creeping in, like an insect on the wall, I would speak the truth of God’s promise to me. Then I would lift myself back into the elevated place of faith and peace by soaking my thoughts in gratitude for what God has done already and for what God promised me.
The problem or blockage that a lot of people face in their prayers is that they are dappled in both light and darkness. The darkness being their fears and the light being faith in God’s promises.
But a dappled mind is basically grey, as one cancels out the other. The word of God does not prosper with unbelief. And being lukewarm in between will never produce miracles. Ridding ourselves of fear is a layered process and it only truly comes through going through times of discomfort and facing those fears in real life.
When you are ready to see a promise fulfilled, then you can expect to go through a time of contrast, of facing fears.
But when you lean into faith 100% in God’s promises, the fears will be proved wrong and you’ll find yourself collecting deceased untrue fears like taxidermy to put on display, as you proclaim that “Love Has Saved The Day”.
The joy of it all is, when you are facing an unexpected financial hardship, that is a blessing in disguise.
It was often allowed for God to show His glory in your life, like glittering blue glowing waters to transform the darkness, leaving you aching with happiness and love inside.
Only in the deep darkness can we encounter the unforgettable beauty of the light♡
